Bottom Dollar Food Offers Customers Chance to Win Free Groceries for a Year and Support Hunger Relief Charity of Choice through Give (& Get)-A-Lotta Groceries Sweepstakes

SALISBURY, N.C. – Bottom Dollar Food encourages customers to participate in the discount grocer’s 2nd Annual Give (& Get)-A-Lotta Groceries Sweepstakes, which runs through Dec. 24 and features a grand prize of $5,200 in Bottom Dollar Food gift cards, or a year’s worth of free groceries. Through the sweepstakes, Bottom Dollar Food will also match the grand prize of $5,200 as a donation to a local hunger relief charity of the winner’s choice.

“Two things we’re passionate about at Bottom Dollar Food are providing customers with unbelievable prices on groceries and supporting the communities we serve,” said Leslie Atkinson, director of marketing for Bottom Dollar Food. “We’re excited that through this sweepstakes we’re able to do both by giving one of our customers a year’s worth of free groceries and providing critical funding for an organization that works to end hunger in one of our communities.”

To enter the contest, customers can visit the Bottom Dollar Food Facebook page, click on the Give (& Get)-A-Lotta Groceries tab and register their contact information and Membership Card number. The Bottom Dollar Food membership card is free and gives customers an opportunity to experience even greater savings by paying the lower “member” price on select items throughout the store.

While no purchase is necessary to enter the contest, customers have an opportunity to earn an additional entry for each my essentials private brand product purchased during the promotion. Customers can also gain additional entries by donating to the Hunger Has a Cure campaign, which benefits local Feeding America food banks, through the purchase of a food box or a scanned monetary donation made at the register. Hunger has a Cure donations must be tied to a Membership Card to qualify for additional entries.

The Give (& Get)-A-Lotta Groceries Sweepstakes grand prize winner will be selected by random drawing, and five other winners will receive $50 gift cards during the contest period. The charity beneficiary selected by the winner must be a local 501(c)3 charity focused on hunger relief.

Bottom Dollar Food works year-round to help end hunger in its communities. In 2013, the company has donated more than 500,000 meals to families in need through local feeding agencies.
