SALISBURY, N.C – Bottom Dollar Food will open its newest store in the greater Philadelphia market on Friday, May 11 at 719 Stefko Blvd. in Bethlehem, Pa. The first 200 customers at the store will receive a free Bottom Dollar Food reusable bag filled with groceries.
"As we continue our expansion efforts in the greater Philadelphia market, we're looking forward to opening our ninth store in the Lehigh Valley area on Friday," said Bottom Dollar Food President Meg Ham. "We invite the local community to come experience our unbelievable prices on fresh produce, quality meats, and mix of private brand and national brand items."
The Bethlehem store will open to the public at 8 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Store manager Kevin Bowers, who is a native of the Lehigh Valley and has almost 29 years of experience in the grocery industry, has been with Bottom Dollar Food for the past year. He previously managed the discount grocer's location at 1856 Catasauqua Road in Allentown, Pa.
"I'm very excited about what Bottom Dollar Food is going to bring to this location," Bowers said. "The local community is very value-driven, and I'm excited to open a fresh, discount grocery option in the area. We've hired some great associates, and I'm also looking forward to seeing them grow and develop with us."
As part of the grand opening festivities, Bottom Dollar Food will donate $500 to each of the following schools: Donegan Elementary School, Liberty High School, Marvine Elementary School and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School.
