BOTTOM DOLLAR FOOD TO CELEBRATE OPENING OF NEW STORE IN HOMESTEAD, Pa., AUGUST 15 BY GIVING FREE GROCERIES TO FIRST 200 CUSTOMERS

New Location Marks 19th Store for Discount Grocer in Pittsburgh, Pa., Market

SALISBURY, N.C. – Bottom Dollar Food will open a new store on August 15 at 127 East 7th St. in Homestead, Pa. The first 200 customers at the new location on Thursday will receive a free Bottom Dollar Food reusable bag filled with groceries, and additional customers will receive free reusable bags throughout the day.

“Bottom Dollar Food is proud to bring its commitment to providing unbelievable prices on fresh produce, quality meats, private brands and the national brands that matter most to customers in Homestead,” said Bottom Dollar Food President Meg Ham. “There has been a great deal of excitement around this store opening, and we look forward to opening our doors to Homestead area residents and being a good partner in the community.”

The new store will open to the public at 8 a.m. following ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Several local dignitaries will be on hand for the grand opening. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

As part of the grand opening festivities, Bottom Dollar Food will make a $1,600 donation to Rainbow Kitchen in Homestead to support its food pantry. The contribution will help to feed approximately 130 households for a month.

With a strong focus on delivering low prices to customers, Bottom Dollar Food has a “We Won’t Be Beat” guarantee and will beat any competitor’s price on the same item by a penny. In addition, if a customer is unsatisfied with a meat or produce purchase, stores will replace the item and give customers a full refund. The new Homestead location adds approximately 40 jobs to the local economy. With the addition of this and another store opening in Souderton, Pa., on August 15, Bottom Dollar Food now operates 58 stores in New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Each store is approximately 18,000 square feet.
